Not just Praise
Praise is an important component of a teacher’s instructional package. It can have favorable outcomes on behavior. Praise, a low intensive, easy to implement strategy is often implemented to support individuals with severe disabilities. But, praise provided to teachers is in preliminary stages with no negative or non-therapeutic side effects. Praise is not the only component used in a class-wide or individualized behavior plan, comprehensive approaches may be necessary to improve behavior across contexts (Moore et al., 2019)
